Annalisa Arcando's Guide to Milan
Discover the beautiful Italian city of Milan through the eyes of Annalisa, a full time content creator and first-time mom. Follow along as she highlights the top stroller-friendly spots and essential items for navigating the city with her daughter, Leah.
Hello Annalisa, Tell us about yourself!
I am from Milan, Italy - I’m 33 yrs old and I have a daughter, Leah, who joined us in this wonderful world in March this year.
I am a full time content creator and also have two brands: a belt brand called Belt’s Amore and a swimwear brand called Heliophilia Club.
I like to keep myself busy!
When is the best time of year to visit Milan?
I love Milan in the spring, for example during the design week the city gets really vibrant! But I also love Christmas when the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele gets it’s famous xmas tree, which changes every year based on the brand “sponsoring” it.
It’s our family tradition to go there the weekend before xmas to take a photo, and I cannot wait to bring Leah this year!
Tell us your top stroller -friendly spots for: Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee.
These are my top places:
Pan Milano: The best for breakfast! They have delicious pastries and have tables available both outdoors and indoors.
Lubar: A great lunch spot. It’s super close to the park and shopping area, right in the center of Milan. And of course the food is delicious. I always order Pasta alla Norma - you have to try it!
Orsonero: My favorite place for a coffee, and they also have tables available outside.
Any favourite park or playground?
One of the biggest parks in Milan is Idro Montanelli, aka the Public Park, between Porta Venezia and Palestro. There are bars where you can have some snacks, playgrounds and a little merry-go-round.
Pro tip: there’s a “families only” part of the park right behind Lubar, where you only can access with kids!
