When is the best time of year to visit Copenhagen?
Honestly, we visit the city every couple of months! We love that we can get away for a day or two and just enjoy being in a big city that we know very well! But I am a sucker for both spring and fall. Chill weather, wearing a light jacket and see either the trees bloom or turn orange.
Tell us your top stroller-friendly spots for:
Breakfast: I love Bette Café which is a cafe that is dedicated to kids and their parents! You can park your stroller and head in to drink GREAT coffee and food - the food is kid friendly as well, so it’s a must visit if you have small kids. Plenty of playrooms and changing stations.
Lunch: Apollo Bar which is part of Kunsthal Charlottenborg. This place is always a stop for me. The prettiest lunch in the city and there’s so much room outside to sit with a stroller. Perfect!
Coffee & Play: I love visiting Little Petra in the Summer. They have a small yard where you can park your stroller and have a quiet coffee moment in the city. Vera has slept there a few times with no issues. If you want to play inside, then you have to visit Hovedbiblioteket. It’s the public library in Copenhagen and they have a dedicated floor for kids to play and read. So fun!
Any favourite park or playground?
We always take a walk through Kongens Have because it’s beautiful and right in the middle of the city. It’s the perfect place to stroll when baby needs to take a nap.
Where do you go shopping?
Muji! I love Japan and organizing, so it’s the perfect place for me. There’s a cute café and plenty of room to play around. If the weather is bad outside there’s a play area for big and small kids. So, it’s just a great place to hang with a stroller - plenty of room and parking places for it.
Where to stay?
We always stay at Guldsmeden, Bryggen. There’s parking on the street, spacious rooms, bars on each floor with a mini-kitchen and great indoor areas where you can play and explore. Not to forget - a pool!
